The primary responsibility is to support a Windows network however, Unix knowledge is also desired to support development networks.
Duties include: HW/SW installation, general server maintenance and user account maintenance.
• Provide end user support for email, Internet access, multi-platform connectivity, within expected RTS times.
• Provide end user application support, including MSOffice Suite, Symantec, various Desktop & Engineering apps
• Build new workstations, PC's and provide connectivity to the network.
• Provide hardware maintenance as required on PC's, peripherals, and printers.
• Review and prioritize assigned service calls.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/ Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. ( 2 or more years industry experience)
Significant experience with Windows 7 and 10
Strong Knowledge and experience with Active Directory
Familiar with Symantec Antivirus suite, software distribution tools and imaging
Ability to install typical desktop & server devices; interface cards, memory, drives, & software
Ability to interface well w/ various members of the organization, including suppliers & customers
Self Motivated, Working in an empowered, self-directed work team environment Desirable Experience/ Education Qualifications/Comments
Strong Organizational skills
Knowledge and experience with VmWare or Hyper-V
Unix skills are desired
IT certifications are a plus
