Environmental, Health and Safety Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for both the Facility management and the Environmental Health & Safety functions in the Hatfield, PA office.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

30% - Environmental, Health & Safety:

• Responsible for executing an EHS compliance program working under the direction of corporate EHS management.

• Coordinate outside partners for the development and delivery of Environmental and OSHA related program.

• Ensure Environmental compliance of internal operations processes and external reporting.

• Primary Radiation Safety Officer for the facility; responsible for radiation safety in the facility including personnel and equipment surveys and reporting.

• Implement safety procedures, processes as well as coordinate & deliver training programs for OPCO - including but not limited to orientation, PPE, forklift, pathogens, and industrial hygiene and maintain appropriate records.

• Participate in post-accident or near miss investigations and corrective actions. Develop emergency action plans and manage the safety committee.

• Represent OPCO in corporate or governmental reporting and audit requirements, including maintenance of MSDS.

• Develop and implement break-down and preventative maintenance processes.

• Establish maintenance KPI’s in support of Operations objectives, track metric and meet goals.

• Other duties as assigned.

70% - Facility Manager:

• Responsible for overall facility maintenance – 24 hour/7days a week on-call; directly supervise the maintenance technician.

• Responsible for all maintenance and janitorial contracts.

• Manage and assign employees to expedite repairs and maintenance of all equipment and buildings.

• Supervises work crews, internal and external, on large jobs (e.g., moving and installing large pieces of equipment).

• Monitors the work of all repairmen to ensure that quality work is completed and that all safety precautions and procedures are observed.

• Provides quotes and supervises construction of additional office space and remodeling of existing offices, handles all approvals and writes and dispatches purchase orders for construction materials, janitorial supplies and equipment.

• Coordinates response to fires and other emergency situations until fire department or rescue teams arrive.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental or an engineering discipline.

• 7+ years of facility management experience of which 3+ years also includes managing EHS functions.

• Working knowledge of OSHA and Environmental compliance and knowledge of facility management.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
