Micron is seeking a Senior Automotive Customer Quality Engineer within our Global Quality (GQ) organization! This is a multifaceted role that partners directly with the OEM (major carmaker) and Micron to enable world class support for the evolving needs of carmakers.

As a resident quality engineer at the OEM, you will set up the engagement model, aligning on support needs, quality expectations, requirements (OEM to Micron as well as Micron to OEM) and more to anticipate and shape the expectations toward requirements in the carmakers multiple specs and processes!

You will have early and direct access during all phases of the business to OEM people, premises and tools while also supporting local automotive customers (Tier 1) as needed.

Responsibilities :

Engage with OEMs in the area as needs arise at each phase of the business:

Influence / Design In:

  • Requirements / Boundaries/ Business Processes & Support models / Testability & Failure Analysis strategy / Manufacturing requirements/ DV & PV support / Direct networking with key partners for quality

  • Assess requirements for equipment/tools and training

  • Lead pre-launch (project level): Readiness for High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) – Tier1 – Pre-production builds – ESD, handling, conditions in line, storage etc.

Production :

  • Supervising and responding to production launch/ issues

  • Conducting field performance analysis

  • Supporting debug, anticipating escalations, and joint diagnostics

Within Micron , the Senior Automotive CQE will act as Voice of Customer:

  • Drive quality-related proactive and reactive communication

  • Drive closure of failures, quality-related issues and customer requests

  • Be the key communication channel for proactive quality initiatives

  • Proactively measure customers satisfaction index to Micron’s Quality

  • Coordinate customer audit

  • Conduct training at customer sites

Required experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in: Customer relations in automotive between Tier 1 and car makers and semiconductors

Preferred/advantageous experience:

  • Semiconductor processing, device physics, quality reliability fundamentals, customer experience
