Keystone Engineering is currently searching for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This position reports to the Controller and supports general accounting functions. Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures as well as other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Support multi-company month-end and year-end close process.

  • Prepare general ledger balance sheet reconciliations including bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, debt, and inter-company activity.

  • Analyze G/L expense accounts to assure complete and accurate reporting of operating results.

  • Prepare depreciation schedule for multiple companies.

  • Calculate project revenue accruals.

  • Review and test accuracy of revenue transactions.

  • Conduct income statement variance analyses.

  • Prepare state sales tax returns.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

  • Assist with the annual financial and 401K audits and economic census surveys.

  • Produce financial data for management team upon request.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.

  • Attention to detail, and time management skills.
