Description:

Utilize team members and various resources to ensure the customers’ expectations are met or exceeded.

Support Engineering Manager to ensure successful RFQ and quotation of new business by defining product requirements based on customer SOR.

Create engineering budget for specific products (manpower, expenses, etc.)

Utilize lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to ensure robust proposals.

Application of engineering practices/principles

Use of computer aided design tools, application of problem-solving techniques and adherence to procedures to enable quality completion of all project deliverables.

Support the design and development of automotive interior parts.

Provide material expertise in the selection of materials during development

Initiate and execute VA/VE improvements through material selection

Evaluate materials based on requirements and performance specifications of the automotive interior parts.

Confer with producers of materials such as metals and polymers during investigation and evaluation of materials.

Review product failure data to rule out or establish material and process causes.

Support Purchasing Activities

Evaluate materials and parts for cost reduction

Assist suppliers in understanding technical specifications

Interface with customers

Support customers for all material approvals and issues.
